If you are living with a disability and currently job hunting, you have probably already figured out how tough the market can be. Especially if you have little or no work experience.

That is why if you are struggling to get a job, SourceAmerica is the first place you should contact.

What is SourceAmerica? -- SourceAmerica is an agency that works with the government, corporations and small businesses to place people with disabilities in employment.

The organization has contracts with all of these entities around the country, and has so many jobs to fill through them. If you have qualifications or experience that match any of the jobs they are trying to fill, and you have a disability, SourceAmerica can get you an interview and, ultimately, a new job.

Are the jobs internships? -- No, SourceAmerica are not internships but instead are real paid jobs working in positions that are very important.

These jobs are simply allocated to people who have disabilities, but that still have the skills to do the job just like any able bodied person would do.

How to get a job through SourceAmerica -- SourceAmerica works through various non-profits around the country. These non-profits usually have lists of people with disabilities that are also looking for a job.

They will recommend these people to SourceAmerica, who will then make sure they get an interview. If their personalities, skills and experience fit the job requirements then they will usually be hired.

Contact all of the non-profit organizations in your area that help people with disabilities and ask if they work with SourceAmerica.

If they do, find out what you need to do and what you need to submit to be considered for one of the many jobs SourceAmerica is currently trying to fill.
